It is shown that the recent craze for Korea, Hallyu, for example the booming popularity of K-Pop, has positive effects on improving overseas marketing environments for small and medium enterprises(SMEs) in Korea. According to the result of a survey of 132 exporting SMEs titled "Exporting SME's Marketing Activities Taking Advantage of Hallyu", improved recognition of Korea based on the diffusion of Hallyu is producing positive effects such as the improvement of the national brand and awareness and the relief of the "Korean discount"
